The H 4000 standard program

Convection Bake/Roast
A fan mounted in the back wall of the oven
draws the air over the heater element and
disperses the heated air throughout the
oven, allowing multi-layer cooking.
Intensive
This setting combines heat from 2
elements - bottom and fan. The floor
element operates at 100% output while the
fan element works at 50%. This makes it
ideal for foods that need a crisp base and
moist top, eliminating blind baking of
pizzas, quiches, cheesecakes and pies.
Surround
This setting is the same as your old oven's
BAKE setting. The heat is radiated directly
above and below the food from bottom
(hidden) and top elements.
Browning
Only the top element heats. It is ideal for
browning dishes (e.g. appetizers, delicate
vegetables) and finishing dishes (e.g.
meringue or cheese toppings).
Bake
The heat is radiated from only the hidden
bottom element. This mode is ideal for
finishing off foods with a pastry or dough
base (e.g. base of a cake, quiche, pie or
pizza), or for when using a water bath (Bain
Marie).
Auto Roast
The oven initially heats up to 230°C / 450°C
for approximately 20 minutes to sear
and seal the meat (retaining moisture and
tenderness). Then, the temperature
automatically drops to the cooking
temperature you have selected, all done in
convection.
Broil / Maxi Broil
Broil heats the centre top element only.
MaxiBroil heats both upper elements. The
difference is about surface area, not
temperature. The temperature is the same
for both modes.
Convection Broil
The entire top broiling element radiates
heat down while the convection fan
circulates hot air to distribute the heat to
the underside of the food.
Defrost
Operating with temperatures from
75-125°F, the convection fan circulates air
gently, defrosting frozen foods. Great for
defrosting frozen fruit, vegetables, bread/
rolls, hamburger, chicken....
Dehydrate (MasterChef Ovens only)
Convection at low temperature. You can
use it for sun-dried tomatoes, herbs and
fruits.
Proof (MasterChef ovens only)
Convection at very low temperature(s).
Use this mode to help your dough rise.
MasterChef (MasterChef ovens only)
The MasterChef function contains an easy
to use list of preset functions (such as
cooking mode, duration, oven and probe
temperatures) of commonly cooked food.
Sabbath (MasterChef ovens only)
With this program the oven will operate for
72 hours at a particular temperature
enabling families to use the oven during
religious holidays.
User favourites
You can set the function, temperature and
time for up to 30 of your favourite dishes
and then save them to memory with a
name of your choice ensuring perfect
results time and time again.
