When “coffee”, or “espresso” is selected, the coffee/hot water pumps

draws water from the water tank, via the flow meter. Then the pump

coffee/hot water pumps the water through the flow-thru heater coffee/h

water. If there is excess pressure, the pressure relief valve opens. Th

hot water is pushed through the brew chamber of the brew unit, which is

filled with coffee, and the coffee runs through the dispenser below the

brew unit into the cup. The coffee puck drops into the waste container,

and the residual water runs into the drip tray, via the drain valve.
