White residue is visible on cutlery and
dishware
– No salt in the salt reservoir.
Fill the salt reservoir with salt as out-
lined in the “Water Softener” section.
– The salt reservoir cap has not been
screwed on properly.
– Not enough rinse aid is being dis-
pensed.
Use a higher dosage setting - see
“Adding rinse aid".
Water remains in the dishwasher at
the end of a program
– The drain hose is kinked or clogged.
– The drain pump or non-return valve
may be blocked – see “Cleaning and
care”.
Before attempting a repair:
Turn the program and temperature
selector knob to the STOP position.
Turn off the dishwasher using the
ON/OFF switch.
The “Intake/Drain” indicator lights
during the “ENERGY SAVER” pro-
gram.
The “ENERGY SAVER” program re-
quires a water supply temperature of at
least 45 °C/115 °F. If the incoming
water is less than this temperature, the
“IntakeDrain” lamp illuminates (see also
“Program selection”). If your hot water
system has been used recently, not
enough hot water may have been avail-
able to adequately clean the dishes.
If necessary, repeat the program.
If the “Intake/Drain” lamp lights
again, select a different program.
The “Softener”, “Rinse”, “Drying”
and “End” sequence indicator lamps
blink simultaneously.
Turn the program and temperature
selector knob to the STOP position.
Turn off the dishwasher using the
ON/OFF switch.
After 5 seconds:
Turn on the machine.
Re-select the program.
If the lamps blink again there is ma-
chine fault. Please call the MIELE Ser-
vice Department.
Under certain circumstances you may
still be able to use the “RINSE &
HOLD” and “ENERGY SAVER” pro-
grams.
