You can deselect the type of food by
touching the relevant sensor again.
You cannot store foods that like high
humidity alongside foods that prefer a
dry atmosphere. However, you can
store several foods from the same
humidity/dry group at the same time.
^
Place the food in its corresponding
MasterFresh zone.
Foods that prefer a higher humidity
include:
Freshly picked vegetables, lettuce,
herbs, mushrooms, cabbages and
fruit.
TIP
The level of humidity in the
MasterFresh zones is dependent
upon the moisture content of the
food and how much food is being
stored in the zones.
When storing a small amount of
food, it is a good idea to store it in
packaging.
Foods that prefer a dry atmosphere
include:
fresh fish, shellfish, meat, poultry,
sausages, dairy products and
specialty salads.
Please note that foods rich in protein
deteriorate faster than others.
Shellfish, for example, deteriorates
faster than fish, and fish deteriorates
faster than meat.
Always keep these foods covered or
wrapped.
Exception: Meat The surface of the
meat dries out slightly, helping to
prevent the growth of bacteria, which
results in the meat lasting longer. To
prevent the risk of bacterial
cross-contamination and meat
deteriorating, do not let one type of
meat come into direct contact with
another type.
Take food out of the MasterFresh
zones approx. 30- 60 minutes
before using it. The aroma and taste
do not fully develop until the food
has reached room temperature.
