Before using for the first time

Before using the machine for the first time ensure that it is

correctly installed and connected (see Electrical connec

tion and Installation).

If the appliance is being switched on for the first time, a wel

come screen and also some other messages will appear in

the right display. These will appear each time the appliance is

switched on. The welcome screen will be displayed each

time the appliance is switched until 5 drinks (includes steam)

have been prepared.

To switch on the appliance,

^ press the left control dial.

The left display will light up.

The welcome screen will appear in the right display:

Willkommen

The coffee machine will then prompt you to select a

language:

Turn the right control dial until the language you want ap

pears in the display.

Press the right control dial.

Your language is now set.

Various messages will now appear in the right display and

you will hear the capsule magazine moving into position. Wait

until the following appears in the right display:

ESPRESSO
