The ventilation cross-sections in the
plinth, housing unit and above the
appliance must amount to at least
200 cm
2
to ensure that air can
circulate without hindrance.

The larger the ventilation
cross-sections, the more energy
efficient the appliance operates.
The air inlet and outlet must not be
covered or blocked in any way.
They should be dusted on a regular
basis.
Top ventilation cross-section
The top ventilation cross-section can be
achieved in various ways:
a Directly above the appliance with a
ventilation grille (free passage of at
least 200 cm
2
).
b Between furniture units and the
ceiling.
c In an intermediate ceiling.
Before installation

Before installation, remove the
accessories bag containing
installation components and
accessories from the appliance, and
remove the sealing strip from the
appliance door.

Do not remove the following from the
rear of the appliance:
– The spacers (depending on model).
These ensure the gap required
between the back of the appliance
and the wall is maintained.
– The bags (depending on model)
located inside the metal grille (heat
exchanger).
These are important for the correct
functioning of the appliance. Their
contents are non-toxic and are not
dangerous.

Remove any cable clips from the
back of the appliance.

Check that all parts at the back of the
appliance are unhindered. Carefully
remove any hindrance.
