Residual water evaporation
When cooking using the Moisture plus
d function, the water will be equally
distributed between the number of
bursts of steam and used up as long as
the programme is not interrupted.
However, if a programme using steam
injection is interrupted before all the
bursts of steam have been injected, the
water for these unused bursts of steam
will remain in the system.
The next time the Moisture plus d
function is selected, a time will appear
and triangle V will flash under the *
symbol to prompt you to evaporate the
residual moisture.
The time shown in the display will
depend on the amount of residual water
in the system.
It is best to start the evaporation of
residual water straight away so that
only fresh water is used during a
cooking programme.
The residual water evaporation
process
The oven will heat up and the residual
water in the oven cavity will evaporate.
Depending on the amount of water this
can take up to approximately 30
minutes.
Steam can cause scalding injuries.
Do not open the door during the
evaporation process.
During the evaporation process
moisture will condense on the door
and the oven interior.
This condensation must be wiped off
after the oven has cooled down.
